At Antosz Vincelli Orthodontics in Calgary, we're more than just a team dedicated to providing orthodontic treatment and good service — we're more like family!

So, this month, we'd like to feature Vicki.

If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting her yet, you can get to know her below. (And if you have, did you know these things about her?)

Name

Vicki

Tell us something about yourself. Brag a little!

I love bringing joy and happiness to everyone's day.

What do you do at Antosz Vincelli Orthodontics?

I am an Orthodontic Assistant with over 20 years of experience.

What's your favourite thing about working at Antosz Vincelli Orthodontics?

Working with a team of very talented and caring individuals who are so invested in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care makes me love going to work each day.

Have you had any orthodontic work? When? Tell us a little more.

From different types of braces and Invisalign® to appliances, retainers, and splints — I've tried nearly everything so that I am able to fully understand how my patients feel!

Do you have any children, grandchildren? Share a little about them.

I have been blessed with 5 incredible kids — 4 boys (aged 16/13/8/6) and 1 princess (aged 11). Each one is so unique, however, they all love playing soccer and are very focused in school. I am amazed everyday to see how quickly they grow and the things they can achieve.

Who is your role model? Who do you admire? List three things you like about them.

Humble, selfless, and compassionate are 3 qualities that were exhibited by Mother Teresa, which I use to model after in my life.

What makes you laugh?

Watching my kids having fun!

Let's talk about hobbies. When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

I enjoy getting up every morning as soon as the sun rises to go for long walks. It's so peaceful and I love to hear the birds singing and the loons on the lake. Other than that, I spend all my free time with my kids and husband. Our favourite activities including watching the kids play soccer, biking, kayaking, boating and camping.

Do you volunteer? If so, where? Tell us a little bit about what you do.

I operate a uniform store at my children's school, and when possible I volunteer in their classes. We also find fulfillment volunteering at our church in different initiatives that benefit the poor.

What's your favourite charity?

My charity of choice is Mary's Meals. For a nominal amount this wonderful charity helps provide children, in some of the poorest countries, with one meal every day for an entire year while enticing them to continue their education.
